Hakuba Goryu is the starting point for climbing Mount Goryu, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains (百名山).  Along the way, there are various hiking options for all levels as well:

  • The Alps-daira Nature Trail, an easy and relaxing 20-minute loop. (アルプス平自然遊歩道)

  • The Mikaeri-zaka Trail, a scenic 20-minute hike, perfect panoramic views. (見返り坂)

  • The Mt. Kotoomi Trek, a rewarding 90-minute one-way hike. (小遠見山)

All of these trails start from "Alps Daira Station", the summit station of the Goryu gondola. It is the perfect place for hikers of all levels to enjoy connecting with nature through these accessible mountain walks.
